Hi, I am looking for some help finding the reverse light relay in the car, 2010 L322 TDV8 ,it is not in the glove box or the rear fusebox, on an electrical diagram it says R15P but says it is in the central junction box but there are only 3 relays in there and they are for cigar lighters and stereo. I have no reverse lights, checked the fuse and the bulbs. reverse camera comes on when i select reverse so i think the switch is fine.

Have you checked with a multimeter that 12V is reaching the bulb holders when in reverse?

Your model may have the set up of the 4.4 TDV8. I'm not sure if it differs but, in which case the reverse relay is in the central junction box according to my diagram also.

I have been on my own when testing things and it wont let you turn engine off with it in reverse.
I would think if 12v was reaching the bulb socket the bulb would work.
I take it the central junction box is the fusebox in the glove compartment? I think the manual I have for a 2010 has an older TDV8 fuse box illustration as relay 15p would be there, but its not in mine, only 3 relays in there and they are 2 cigar lighters and stereo. I think the p of 15p donates passenger compartment as other diagrams say e or r after the relay numbers denoting engine bay or rear fuse box. I am stuck as I can not find a 2010 L322 TDV8 diagram. I have looked at engine,glovebox and rear fuse boxes for my year on ebay but can not see 15p on any of them.

the 2 spaces without relays is the same as mine and on the diagram in the glovebox it states not used.

Yes, the workshop manual identifies the fuse box behind the glove box as the Central Junction Box. Mine also is the new design (with micro fuses) and only has the 3 relays.

Seems JLR didn't update the wiring diagrams!

Next thing to check would be the Lighting Control Module - apparently some known issues:

The I-bus connection on the LCM is pin 36 of c2040, the middle connector on the LCM (when you select reverse, is the 'R' appearing on the dash?).

Also check the voltage directly on the lighting control module (pin 9 on connector C2039 withe reverse selected.

However, I think it would be unusual for there to be an issue on a later car. By testing the bulbs do you mean you applied 12V and checked they were illuminating or do you mean you looked at them?

Before pulling apart anything, i would seriously consider getting someone to select reverse with the ignition on (engine on and brakes applied if that doesn't work) whilst you check a multimeter on the light fittings. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Hi , yes R is coming up on the digital dash, reverse cam working.
checked the fuse with a meter, checked bulbs visually and changed them out from another car at my friends breaker yard,
he does not have a 2010 RR L322 tho , its an older TDV8 he has there and many TD6s.
I will test the bulbs tomorrow and check for voltage at the bulb holder.
then I will think about other avenues to follow.

just tested the old bulbs I removed and they are fine. owned a few over the years.
