My car was left unmolested except for an egr blanking plate. Mine also had a power boost remap as well as egr delete because why not I cannot say what they do to remove the egr from the map, but know they do something to stop the errors popping up if blanked. I was told the map does stop the egr from operating so the blanking plate isn’t necessarily needed… but decided to get one fitted just in cast the egr was gunked up and not properly closed. Maybe unnecessary, but no harm and simple to remove. I believe it’s not possible. My ECU was removed and updated on the bench. I’m curious… if the diaphragm was damaged, would the car know? Would it generate an alert? I’ve only ever used a cleaning spray on mine at least… but who knows from a previous owner? When I punctured mine, accidently , on my previous car, the engine would start but had no power. It would hardly rev. |

Does yours have a DPF? as I thought these were not fitted for the Australian market on these engines? 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322) |

No DPF on mine but possibly on any vehicle that ended-up here that was built for another country. |

@Telly-addict and @Ffrr-lover have you guys looked at exhaust gas temperature sensors readings after EGR-delete? Especially B1S2 and B1S3. Would be valuable information. I have pulled lots of data from my properly working OEM system for comparsion. Would be very interesting. I'm planning on deleting EGR too to improve engine health and longevity. |

I can't say I have no. I'll try and have a look when I next get the chance but I'm pretty tied up with customer cars atm. Cam

Mine had its EGR mapped out coupled with an economy tune supposedly taking power to a little over 250kW this evening. First impressions are that it is nicely responsive off the mark, upshifts occur on less throttle and at lower revs and it still idles through mud at 1000 rpm in either normal or GGS just as it did before as far as I can tell. Economy around the streets is improved and 100 kph cruising in undulating terrain might have improved a little, but I look forward to longer term usage. |

@GraemeS same request to you then. If you have an IIDTool or any other interface for reading live values, maybe you can pull live data from exhaust temp sensors say at highway cruising speeds, now after EGR delete?

The only exhaust system temperature sensor on mine, which doesn't have a DPF, is in the left manifold and it doesn't work. The temp sensor in the EGR valve won't get any recirculated exhaust gases. |

Oh, sorry, didn't know the system build-up for non-DPF vehicle. So you don't have any temp. sensors directly before or after the catalytic converter?
