England 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE 4.2 SC V8 Zermatt Silver
4.2 Supercharged Engine Oil

Hi Everyone
Well, heres the thing I am due a oil change (doing it myself), I have always used Castrol Fully Synthetic 5/30
in my Skoda Vrs , MD used it in fatty last time. I have noticed that the oil specs have changed ie c1 now c3.
I plan to stick with Castrol Fully Synthetic sooo, my question is what spec should I be looking for?.
My manual says on page 279....Use a5w /30 oil meeting spec ACEA :A3 (API SL or SM).
Land Rover...WSS-M2C913-preferred.
I do have 8 litres of Castrol Edge Professional A5 5W/30... ACEA A1/B1 / ACEA A5/B5 STJLR.03.5003 (its on Opie Oils website as being suitable for fatty), is this correct?.

Thanks

What you have should be perfectly fine. I swap between Castrol and Royal Purple depending on what's in stock at the time. 01 Disco 2 4.0 V8

Sounds like the oil you've got should be fine Smile

I've been using Smith & Allen oil in mine now for 2 years.

They're based in Darlington but do telephone ordering. You give them the details of your car, they tell you the best oil, give them some digits over the phone and 9 out of 10 times you get a delivery the next day.

Price wise they're a lot less then the likes of Castrol unless you find Castrol on offer.

I had 10 litres of Momentum FSSX 5w30 delivered to the door for £49.99.
