Update

The inlet manifold was due to arrive at the Land Rover dealer last Thursday 6th Oct.

My garage rang them Friday, the part hasn't arrived and now they state they have no idea when it will.

That's seven weeks that the car has been off the road, absolute joke!!

Steve.

Maltings are a Land Rover dealer and have them back in stock:

Ballot your garage to buy from Maltings instead. It could be back on the road tomorrow afternoon (which imo i would have done from day 1 and just paid myself)! £500 is worth it just to have your car on the road then take the argument back up with whoever provides the warranty. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Thanks for the info Gary.

I just rang Maltings and they are also out of stock.

The dealer has agreed, from day one, to pay for the repair so the financial aspect of this issue has never been a problem.

Cheers,

Steve.

Maybe they were looking at the old part number?

The ebay item I linked shows they've got 2 in stock but the item numbers are for the L405 and L494 but the item says it fits the L322 engine also. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I think the fella I spoke to might well have done. I've just tried calling them back but he must be busy. I'll try again shortly.

That's not the part Gary. think that's the plenum chamber. The part I need is the nearside inlet manifold.

SETDV8, how clean/dirty was your old inlet manifold inside?
We know the intake is very dirty after EGR inlet, but interesting how fahr? You remove the manifold, so what can you say?

The Part Arrived

The part arrived, out of the blue, last Tuesday. Got the car back on Friday and all is well.

I've only driven it locally so far but I'm off to Heathrow tomorrow morning to pick up my son and daughter in law so it'll have a proper run.

I'd forgotten what a joy it was to drive, having said that, my circumstances will be changing in the near future so I may be selling it. For now though I'll enjoy it!!

Thanks again to everybody who contributed to this post with advice etc.

The usual culprits are the 4 x short hoses on the inlet manifold or a cracked inlet manifold. Look for sooty deposits around the inlet manfold or get a high pressure smoke test done.

Thanks for the advice Gary.

DPF Full light on the dash. Checked the Gap IID Tool code - D2459-65 Diesel Particulate filter regeneration frequency - algorithm based failure - signal has too few transitions/events.

Cleaned out the MAP sensor which was very crusty - hence code above.

Checked at the hoses which were fine.

Put in a shot of DPF cleaner into the tank.

Ran the car for 20 mins at ~2500 rpm. Light cleared on dash and on IID Tool 2012 L322 4.4 TDV8 - Current
2012 AM Rapide - Current
2009 Discovery - Gone
