Displays on the blink

I was driving in 'ECO' ánd EV-mode, getting very angry since it continued to run on petrol,
althoug the fuel level was low ( no orange light yet).

I slowed down for a petrol station, when suddenly both central displays went black.

A bit later the lower one started blinking, the top one remained off.

Switching the contact off/on only let the lower display regain content, but continued blinking.

Only after complete shutdown (filling the tank) and restarting, it all came back to life.

After the problems with the central armrest in the rear, I quickly loose any confidence left in this vehicle.

Anybody recognizes this type of incident ? It re-occurred, or ended in a fatal death of the hardware ?? I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

Probably the garage did at service ?

Its not for me I guess. Or do you assume it was OTA when I was driving and restarting ? I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

Scotland 2017 Range Rover Autobiography 5.0 SC V8 Corris Grey

It's not the same, but my MY17 recently had the instrument cluster screen go black and then come on again after a short interval as the car was driving along. There was a US recall for 2017 cars for this, but of course LR does not bother with that sort of thing in the UK. It was attributed to voltage to the circuits becoming unstable due to use of the wrong spec of microchip. I reported it to the dealers, who of course only know about recalls if they are on their system, but the car is going in for a software update this week (that was the fix on the US recall also).

So I'd get the dealer to re-do the software, it won't just be the routine updating that all cars get. Only Range Rovers since 1988

Thanks for the explanation, but this can not be the issue with my car.

I had perpetual problems with the USB/4G unit; not conntecting to 4G, no phone or bleutooth.

The technician suspected a writing error in OTA firmware updates.

So they blanked it with the dealer and stacked the proper firmware in the correct order.

Since then it only happened once ( june 1st), and never since (no 4G conntection. I then have to set 'roaming'manually).

So unless its a very recent flaw they solved, its not a firmware issue with me. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black
