Whilst i can accept the chip shortage is causing supply issues, I think it is outrageous of JLR not to offer some form of compensation. Surely this downgrade will be saving them thousands and quite frankly what will be the next technology removed from spec. Those with outstanding orders are already having to suck up a huge price increase and to now get a downgraded model spec is both frustrating and insulting. Seriously contemplating cancelling my HSE order. I only hope they do a u turn when they see their sales pipeline drop off... |

This is annoying especially if they don’t compensate either with choice of alternate options or price reduction. Otherwise it’s a price increase by stealth? MY23 PHEV HSE

I wouldn't mind so much had I not read how good the top spec system is on this forum!

This is a seriously big downgrade and this isn’t to rub it in. I simply wouldn’t take delivery of another car without it having experienced the quality of this sound system. The noise cancellation is a game changer. |

Correct. The 3D has ‘low’ noise cancellation (vs. ‘High’ on the Signature) but nothing in the headrests which is the game changer part. In the HSE I test drove, I couldn’t tell there was any noise cancellation going on. No noise cancellation at all on SE and HSE now, not even as an option. |

As this has not been communicated to me by my dealer, I assume I would be within my rights to cancel my order and get my deposit back if it turns up not in the spec I ordered?

You are 100% within your rights to cancel. To be honest, deposits are very very difficult to enforce in a non-refundable fashion anyway. The dealer wouldn’t be able to demonstrate any loss by you cancelling your order. Exception could be if you’ve ordered the car in an undesirable colour/spec. |

I don’t see why JLR can’t just hold a customer’s place in the queue until the parts become available to fulfil their order, if the customer wants to wait, or give them the available spec if they don’t want to wait. |

Exactly, I'm at the stage where I'd rather wait until the car I ordered is able to be built. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB |
