Facelift rear lights.

Just picked up a genuine pair of 2019 rear lights from EBay. One has a broken lens but I’ve also managed to buy a lens cover from Powerful. £403 all in.

I plan to heat up the broken lens with a heat gun, carefully remove the lens and remaining glue and use something like a thin bead of CT1 to fix the new lens.

Parts arrive on Wednesday so I’ll keep the thread updated.

Hi

I've done the lens change,

You have to snap off the old lens, you won't be able to loosen it by heating it,

There is a locator groove all the way round the light where the ridge for the lens sits in to, you will have to clean the groove with a dremel as the ridge on the old lens will be broken off in the groove

Lastly bond the lens, try not to tough the silvering in the lens.

Hope this helps
