I have seen it on here somewhere, as I keep meaning to do mine. THere are a few tutorials on Youtube to help. The inner bolts for the rear arm are extremely tight, and not a lot of room to get a 3/4 socket on, which is why I keep putting it off. All stretch bolts, and need replacing according to the Manual. I bought the outer ball joints and screws as well, and a large set of balljoint splitters off of Ebay for £45. I don't follow the bodge it and scarper method of club hammer ball joint removal. Hope that helps you. |

Manly it was are there any special tools needed to undo the inner arm on the steering rack, or can you get to them ok? |

There are no special tools listed. Its just a little tight to get a 3/4 socket to swing, as it is a too tight for a 1/2 inch wrench to pull. The nuts will only accept an open ended spanner. The ball joints need proper splitters, as people seem to cut them out in film guides. THere is a film on Youtube of an American in a large heated garage pulling the arms off, and everything came apart as if greased first. It never works that way in my experience. |

Replied to this and deleted as I think I misinterpreted the ask, I thought you meant track control arm (as per the title) but perhaps you mean tie rod? Christian.
