Its probably an ill informed Swampy or Spider with some time on their hands.

So, the owner gets the car repaired, during the process the car the will be resprayed, while modern paints are less toxic, they're still pretty nasty and all that ends up vented somewhere.

This was probably his pride and joy, its a sad world we live in.

Well, if it was a tree-hugger then they have scored an own goal carbon footprint wise when you take into account the work required to put the car right (or worse still if it gets written off).
