I would confirm the engine (presume 4.4 oil burner), the number of owners, and how many bottles of champagne it comes with, because any new owner would feel like a million dollars, I am sure. Nice. L405 P400e Autobiography (MY2020)... Silicon Silver / Espresso

Only just started looking for a Range Rover to replace this as our second car got the mrs a glc and I work worldwide and only do circa 4-6k miles a year would rather be back in a Range Rover for that no need for such an efficient car since the mrs doesn’t use it anymore

United Kingdom 2017 Range Rover Autobiography SDV8 Silicon Silver

Hi all just wanted to tell you guys about the MOT that was on my car,
When I had the car serviced in March this year I was informed that the brake pipes were rusty.
However when the car has its mot done in May I could get it booked in then,
So booked the mot and work to be done.
May comes along car is in the night before, ready for the next day, I get a call in the following morning to tell me I have a leak on the engine they will investigate, ok.
I collect the car at the end of the day with the MOT done and passed.
But with some advisories ie: The track rod control ball joint shows signs of wear, oil on the rear left/right shock absorbers, the front brake pipe are covered in grease or something and have rust, and rear brake pipes have grease or other covering showing signs of rust.
the left front wheel has a nail (removed by garage after MOT) Right front wheel has a cut but not a problem.
Yesterday I got a second opinion the left lower control arm is showing wear so got it replaced.
Today it went for a new MOT it passed with NO advisories.
The garage that fixed the car remarked how good the car is and for the age and mileage would be hard-pressed to find one as good. and has told a car dealer that he knows and if I was to give him a call he would recommend the car for buying.

So the car now has a NEW MOT.

So update on the car, the dealer has offered to list the car on sale or return he covers warranty and prep and I get £14000 in hand when sold, don't seem like a bad deal.

Doesn't sound like a bad deal at all ! £14,000 trade (effectively) seems pretty fair, even if you do have to wait till it sells

Hi Tinman,

Is this RR still for sale? If so is it a personal sale with you or is it now with the local dealer?
Just to confirm, that all the defects picked up have since been resolved?

Many thanks Matti.

Hi, Matti

All the advisories have been addressed, and the car is on sale or returned to a dealer,
The dealer is putting a warranty on for his price.
I can sell as a private sale which will be less but no warranty.

One thing to note is, there is no rust on any of the bodywork, this was noted by the MOT station and the repairing garage.

Alex

Hi Alex,

Can you message me the dealer details and what price they have it on for? I’m fresh into the Forum today so don’t think I can PM you?
The mileage is a bit higher than I would’ve wanted in an ideal world but it does look super clean and cared for.
I’ll pass it by my Wifey this eve, as she’s buying it for us LOL.

Is the tow bar the removable one that has the square receiver hitch behind the vertical tube attachment point? I’m looking for one that I can fairly easily attach a NATO hitch to, as I have an ex mil trailer to occasionally tow.

I’m in North Yorkshire, whereabouts are you?

Thanks for the info,
Cheers Matti.
