L405 front near side 360 camera - are they coded?

Hi all, new to the forum having achieved my long held ambition to join the L405 owners world with the purchase of a 2014sdv8 AB last weekend. The near side bumper 360 camera lens has smashed and I need to replace the camera. I have the correct camera and comfortable removing bumper etc but was wondering if the camera is coded to the car and is calibration by JLR required. Has anybody replaced to same camera and was it plug and play? Searched to forum but could not find anything on the bumper cameras.
Thanks
Richard.

I had both front cameras replaced by the dealer but don't know if they are coded.

Welcome to the forum! Thumbs Up

Mike

Plug and play. I had exactly the same issue.

This is the extent of work required to change a 1inch cube camera!

They are not coded, but there is a calibration routine for a new camera

BUT, the system will still work fine without it

While i was waiting for the car to have the cameras replaced, i was able to get my fingers behind the cameras and push them out without taking the bumper off so i could check for corrosion etc.
