Why do they do it

I find it incredible watching some of these, very expensive cars driven totally inappropriately into flood water. Why?

People just think cars can go through anything. Even for me with a range rover I'd still be carefully going through fords

United Kingdom 2007 Range Rover Vogue SE TDV8 Java Black

I live pretty close to this, there is a cafe and almost perfect viewing platform next to it, with a healthy bank of kids cheering people on it’s easy to get egged into hitting it a little too fast that’s for sure!

We often go down in winter, walk the dogs and get a hot chocolate and watch the cars going through.

They actually put up road closed signs when it’s deeper, but people just ignore them Rolling with laughter

You’d not catch me going through in the Range Rover but the old defender used to go through quite a bit, there’s another not far away that’s on a BOAT that’s much much deeper to the point on a hot day people swim in it. Sold - Bell a 2015 MY16 Loire Blue Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

I just find it incredibke that people go at it so fast, really no hope of making it through and people risking very expensive motors, it's not even that much longer to go round and avoid it completely. BMW i3 Electric Car
