Got this idea of steering Wheel and control buttons upgrade from Cam Tech Craigs thread and i love it, think its the best mod i have done.

How do you find the touchscreen climate panel? Assume it’s aftermarket, which I’m considering for mine, which one did you go for as there seems to be a few different ones available.

Yes 2018 Velar steering wheel and posidon Automotive climate Panel without cd as i was looking into putting the stand alone glove box cd player in like the later models but don't know if thats possible yet. Only negative i would say about the climate panel is that the volume knob you push for the hazards so the sound system comes on and of with the ignition and its difficult to see the touch pad button for the high air con output durring the day as its right at the bottom of the screen.

Is the wheel plug and play?
What about the air bag, it that velar?

It came with the silver paddles so i left them on as i prefer them to the original black paddles on mine but i changed the wireing and airbag over from my original wheel.

Buttons are aftermarket as originals will not work.

Next job on the List, i like to wait and see what reviews the upgrades get but i think a lot of people don't like to mess with the wiring so its hard to find anything, i also wait untill they get the upgrades to look like the 2018 interior as can't see the point otherwise, the AC screen that's fitted is as close to the facelift screen as i think it will get and i am happy with that but i would like to find out if one of the facelift dvd players can be put in the glove box and wired in, the steering wheel buttons are excellent and work spot on, i want to put the 12.3" sat nav screen in which is as close to the facelift interior as i think they will get and currently looking for a good supplier in china as there is a huge difference between the uk middle man price and china price, the only thing that bothers me is how close the leather colour is on the 12.3 inch screen surround but at worst will have to get it covered with genuine Land rover Ivory leather.

Thanks Craig did you keep the Velar wheel on and did you notice any difference when driving.

I liked it so much I ordered a brand new one. As the other wheel was 5yrs old and showing signs of age!
