Whe are 'extreme' Range Rover owners..

You are the "man-caught-in-the-middle" ...

Only joking, wordplay.

I can imagine its a lot of work to keep it going. When I hear each time what

the guy had to do to my old D3 (TdV6 2006, 410.000km, first engine and autobox.. Mr. Green ). I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

No problem, its my screen name !

I had it when I looked at my bank statement, € 280- roadtax.. Shocked

And I only did 5000km in NL. The rest going to Portugal and back.

But the last year I always suspended the roadtax as soon as I passed the border.

Then the D3 would stay in the Algarve for 6 months. The day we came back I

started the roadtax again. The last year I discovered if you suspend it again,

you only pay € 70,- , not the roadtax for that day. But you had to suspend it

the same day you registered. So if you only uses the car two days each month,

you don't pay roadtax, but each time € 70 ... Whistle

Get in line : the guy who bought my D3 wants it, and two neigbours also.. Laughing I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

I was quickly back in the Netherlands last week to pick up some presents for my daughter I luckily ordered online. First the channel tunnel closed, so I took the ferry to Hoek van Holland. Was running on fumes, so I filled up to get to Amsterdam, 187 EURO for a tank of fuel 🤪🤣

But it was so comfortable, and I had my nice tunes so all worth it.

Peanuts..

How about € 300 - per month for roadtax, parked at home on private land 24/7..

The only way to escape is to suspend the registration.. .. at € 85 - .. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

Is it still based on weight in the Netherlands? It’s been a while since I’ve owned a car there.

But will be good to learn, as once this corona Censored is out of the way it can be a bit easier to relocate back.

First got to setup a legal entity out there and invite myself back to work 😈 I’ll likely go fully EV though once I’m back.

Hi Derek,

Welcome to the 'exclusive' club.. Cool

Supposed to use only English on the forum.

I got problems with moderators on other forums when I used Dutch.

Another 4.2SC fan. like Piet I see. Best engine ever ?

You get by with a local indy, or you tinker on your own ? I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

Hi Dan. - thanks for the tip

Indeed very happy with the 4.2 - has all I need apart from the fuel economy Very Happy

But I don’t do enough miles to warrant a 4.4 diesel - with all the short trips that would give no end of grief

Yes local indies and do tinker a bit, but just don’t have enough time for it and too many projects on the go. The 4.2 is used as our daily drive and then I have a E38 740, an old Volvo and a motorbike that are competing for attention to be repaired and upgraded..

I do not service the cars myself.

My first car was a Triumph Dolemite Sprint, which I restored (1980, build in 1977.. ..so much for BL quality..).

It got wrecked by a truck that crossed my lane, blindly turning off ( Sassenheim, mainroad turning to Warmond..).

After that I only worked on a Austin Princess 2200 HLE with my dad, since he needed assistance.

I sold my F-Type last year, since I didn't drive it enough.

There are many cars I'd like to have, but given I'd be losing on depreciation,

insurance and just aging if they stand still, I'm too realistic over addicted to cars. I-pace First Edition Santorini & 2nd car Mazda MX-30 Advantage red/black

I think i have to many cars, but i will restore some of them.
I was restoring one off the 101FC's, but then somebody asked me to participate in the Tulpenrallye.
So then the focus was put on the rally car a 1967 Alfa Giullia.
Now we have stopped with these rally's, i need to sell it and probebly some of the others as wel. Rangerover L322 5.0 SC 2010
