You're right, there is a service kit available and I'd love to sort it myself, but just simply haven't got the time at the moment. This means I have to pay someone else to do something that I am perfectly capable of doing, which I hate but needs must and all that. Drives:

I was thinking along the lines of your garage fitting the service kit in preference to a brand new compressor, but you will obviously have to see what their diagnosis is.

Having had a quick look underneath I see that the air cylinder is in a bad way (badly corroded), maybe that's leaking. Drives:

Well, it's fixed. And it was the driver side air bag, massive split. Really weird because it was the first thing I looked at and I couldn't hear any hisses or anything even on full extension. Still, that's what it was. Drives:
