Rear occasional knocking over bumps

I’ve noticed a knocking / rattling noise from the rear when hitting bumps. Not every time, but enough to annoy me… especially as I replaced the bushes a year ago, and less then 10,000 miles.
Admittedly, one of the bushes (each side) was a Britpart bush as Duckworth’s couldn’t get a genuine one in time. I know it won’t last as long, but surely longer than this?

I had the tracking done recently following my front arm replacement (again replacing Delphi arms which are less than a year old… don’t buy pattern parts!) and was told the rears were spot on.

I jacked the car up this morning to have a look and wiggled some bits, but no signs of movement, although I doubt there would be much considering the setup and weights involved. What I did see though, is that the arm to body joint looks wonky? Surely this isn’t good?

I cannot remember if that bush was the britpart one, but an invoice shows it as RGX000071. That photo shows the one towards the back of the car, and of the opposite side (not jacked up) as it was easier to photo.

When I fitted the arms, I jacked up the hub to the correct height before tightening things up.

Any thoughts about that bush? Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

There are lots of other bushes at the back apart from the wishbone, the hub upper and lower bushes are known to fail regularly....

Some Britpart bushes will only last weeks, really, IMHO, not a good idea to use anything other than OE parts... Thumbs Up Pete

Cheers Pete.
All bushes and knuckles were changed, as well as the drop links - all genuine except for that one bush (whichever one it is). The rear subframe bushes were also replaced when I purchased the car (again, genuine). I’m not sure what else it left that would knock like that… Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Ah, I see, get an MOT garage to look at it for you, they are good at exposing weakness in bushes... Thumbs Up Pete

I was thinking something like that too… a ramp and big bars would help! Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8

Good shout. I’ll get under again just to make sure there isn’t anything else loose. I’d be annoyed if I re-replaced the bushes only to find the noise is still there Laughing Currently driving: 2012 L322 SE Overfinch 4.4 tdv8
