It would be nice if they just produced the cars customers had ordered a year ago instead of coming up with special editions. Rolling Eyes

I have to agree with 5.0...... JLR should be focusing on their existing customer orders.

I see you're on your second L460 DrF - Didn't you have a Batumi one?

I'm beginning to think you work for JLR?

Also been playing with the configurator and just went on to see the colour options on the new Sport model - dont want to get one but just curious - and noticed that on the sport the P400 and the P440E AB are pretty much the same price???? Why charge a premium for the hybrid on the L460 then?

From the thread, I believe you had a P530, after watching Autogehful's review on YT, they seemed disappointed with the fuel economy figures on the RR BMW V8 installation compared to the the same engine in the X7. There will always be some "tweaking" that the manufacturer can do to reflect their car in a better light when compared to another car with the same engine but I'd be curious to hear how you found the P530 in real life. Its all academic currently with supply issues but after a hiatus of ownership, I'm considering placing a deposit on an AB P530 or P400.

you guys are making me reconsider my colour choices.. Smile
I've always liked the 'stormtrooper' look, and bought another RR with this colour Spec shown below. (previous 2011 had in USA was same)
But now I'm really admiring the grey/brown/gold options too.. hmmm..

Hello All,

New to the forum here. Just picked up our new L460 a couple of weeks ago. Thought I'd post a few pics showing Batumi Gold in natural light. The interior is Perlino with Natural Brown Silver Birch wood.

Looks lovely! Congratulations.

Another car with the button free dash - have to say it looks great. I'm hoping the change won't frustrate me too much. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

I really wasn’t a fan of the "button free dash" at first but having lived with it for a few weeks I have to say it really doesn’t bother me that much anymore. I’m not really one to fiddle with the heat or air settings much, and hardly ever change the driving mode, so going to the screen for those things isn’t really an issue. I do miss not having a centrally located volume/pause control for the audio though. When driving with my wife, one or the other of us is constantly turning down the volume or pausing the music to carry on a conversation. The driver can easily turn down the volume using the thumbwheel on the left side of the steering wheel, and I‘ve assigned “pause Audio” to the diamond button. So, it's really not an issue for the driver. However, the passenger must access the screen to adjust the volume. There is a volume slider easily accessible on the passenger side of the screen, so it’s not a huge problem. But it’s certainly less convenient than just reaching over and turning a knob.

My biggest complaint with the lack of buttons and knobs is just that aesthetically it looks out of balance. The little wood panel where the heating and cooling controls used to be serves no function and just looks completely superfluous. I assume it was just an emergency design solution made in response to a decision that came down from the higher ups. Hopefully, in future models the designers will come up with a more unified design. That being said, no one who has seen the car has mentioned anything about it. So, I don’t think it looks strange to the average person…only to those of us who obsess over these things on internet forums!

I wonder if the aesthetics of a button-free dash vary according to the inlay. For example, I imagine a Grand Black Veneer one would look fine.
