Oil change using vacuum extractor

Bit of a daft question but, I am about to do an interim oil change on my L405 SDV8.
I have an oil extractor pump but am a bit unsure how the hoses connect. I have 4 tubes with rubber end pieces.
One tube is obviously too large so will ignore that. The next smallest is about the same diameter as the oil extractor tube on the engine but will not fit inside it. I can fit it to the oil extractor tube on the engine using the rubber piece as a connector and the other end will fit into the hole in the oil extractor pump. Their also a smaller pipe that will fit inside the oil extractor pipe on the engine. Finally there is a thin metal tube that I assume is for inserting into the dipstick tube where fitted.
Should I take the thin pipe and insert it into the oil extractor tube on the engine and then use the slightly larger pipe and the rubber connector to connect the pipes together and then into the oil extractor pump. Or, should I use the medium pipe (same size diameter as the oil extraction tube on the engine) with the rubber connector to connect to the oil extraction pipe on the engine and then into the oil extractor pump?
I hope this makes sense.

Thanks Baltic Blue.
The largest pipe, that I decided to ignore, is a snug fit on the oil extractor tube in the engine.

As above, the steel tube is vac tube so fit over the end not inside it.
I think it’s 10mm

I only got 8.5L out but replenished what was left with fresh oil so I'm sure it will be better than it was. Geoff
