Evening all,

I have searched but not found anything on here - Basically I have the IID BT tool and its currently registered against my old RR (sold yesterday) - I want to update it to my new RR but can't how to do it.

I'm certain I searched the GAP IID site yesterday and it said swap VINs (or something simialr) and the price was £25 but having another look just now, I can't for the life of me find anhy reference to it, Only add an additioanl one.

Anyone got any clue how I would go about it.?

If i remember rightly, you plug it into your new car then it should give you a code on screen. Then log into your account and go to activation enter code you will then be emailed for payment. Once paid you will receive the activation code and just enter it, job done.
Any problems, just log in and click on activation where you will find the details on the how to. Hope this helps.

I was sure, although willing to be proven wrong, that if you’ve sold your car and bought another one you contact Gap and they cancel the old vin and update to the new for free. This is contingent on you retaining both the gap tool and the car and not selling the tool on and trying to get it updated to someone else’s car for free.

Again I’m sure I’ve seen that somewhere but things may have changed due to people trying it on, best talk to Gap..

UK Marine is correct. We swopped my wife's Freelander 2 for a newer model and Patrick (GAP) sent a code to register the new car.
