up-date, pulled drivers seat and kick panel and excess trim /gas pedal and exposed the large wiring loom that run in the sill channel and sadly enough couldn't even find a red/green wire. Do you think that the euro RR's are different to the Aus exported one's as far as the wiring is concerned ? You are RHD ? Last edited by Googs on 14th Aug 2022 8:40pm. Edited 1 time in total |

Does this make my Genuine NOS Range Rover screen worth a small fortune ?

Hi Googs Yes, mine is RHD. I had to sift through the loom to find them. If you still have it accessible can you see where the connections are? The crimps which join the various wires together are wrapped in tape and it is only when you open it up that you see it has turned to powder. I’d be surprised if they used different colours for Aus. 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀 2009 3.6 V8 (MY2010) - my first ever diesel! - now also gone 2004 4.4 V8 Petrol Vogue - now gone |

G’day Chris,I haven’t been able to find any wires that are coloured red with a green stripe, there is no breaks at all in any of the wiring system in the driver-side wiring loom not sure about the passenger side yet as, I haven’t pulled the seat out just pulled the carpet up to get access to the wiring loom, you’ll see a purple multi-pin connector on the second photo that was just lying in the sill channel not sure what that is? Any clue on the connector?[/img] |

Sorry for the way the photos are loaded as I’m not sure how to do them …. I could only do them from the phone not the laptop. |

Hi Googs Sorry for the delay - I’ve been out having my front upper arms and ball joints replaced (on the car, that is ) The wiring loom for mine looks the same as Sam’s in the video (his is the 4.4) and as yours is the same year as mine it should be the same. The red/green can look almost brown/green in certain light. I’ve no idea wha5bthe purple multiplug is I’m afraid. Apologies if I have sent you on a wild goose chase….. 2017 Jaguar F Pace 25t Portfolio - still part of the JLR family 😀 2009 3.6 V8 (MY2010) - my first ever diesel! - now also gone 2004 4.4 V8 Petrol Vogue - now gone |

Not many wires are soldered on vehicles, most in-line joints are electrically fused or crimped then capped with adhesive lined heatshrink. Soldering tends to be for high-current cable lugs where there is little chance of capillary action and resultant strand fracturing. |

Up-date; I've been through the wiring loom 5 times with no luck to find a green/red wire so I'm guessing there isn't any.
