Just for correctness, the engine has hydraulic lash adjusters that are located near the top of the head rather than hydraulic lifters which run in the block on a camshaft down lower in the engine on OHV (not OHC) engines. Any noise from lash adjusters should be from near the top.

Thia looks interesting and first time i have heard of lash adjusters.

spot on vid see the muck that came out of that lifter . and as stated in the vid all stems from oil changes and the right oil being used these high-mile oil changes are no good if the wrong oil or more like cheep crap oil used new vehicle purchase

It’s being collected later as for oil I only use the best to correct spec from AF only genuine oil filters and changed every 6 k or six months going to do a flush of the oil I may run a few flushes to clean the crud out 2012 Range Rover Westminster 4.4 TDV8

I’ve four 4.4’s here right now 3, 405’s & a 494 and each one is identical to yours running with the filler removed! Two I have road tested today and both do exactly the same from cold start or when warm after a 10 mile road test!
