thanks, phoenix for your comment. I suppose it should look right seeing I have been spraying cars for 40 years that is my main profession the caravan storage is a further string in the bow that helps pay for the upkeep of the beast new vehicle purchase

There's a guy locally that has 'done bodywork' for 40 years, I wouldn't let him change my wiper blades... I've said it before, that's a real skill you have there - and there's no reason not to be proud to show it off |

thanks, Pete the thing is i have been making a lot of comments as we all do on this very good site and I have never put any pictures of my own l322 in full may be parts that I have done in the past to try and help people on the site then I thought well we have read a lot of rabbit from me with not a lot of backing up as to what I am talking about I only try and help with what I know or have done as they say a little knowledge can be dangerous in the wrong hands

Oggy, the chromed/silver bumper section, the crossbar below the number plate, how / what did you paint/ cover it with? I am looking to do something similar. 2007 TDV8 VSE

hi wayneg sorry for the delay in getting back . it was a 25 mm strip of polished stainless steel that i rolled in an old set of what you call old English rollers it took some doing as a lot of curve to it i then fixed it with black tiger seal or pu sealer held it in place overnight not easy oggy new vehicle purchase

Nice work, sheet metal rolling is a bit beyond me. Did you remove the panel, looks like its is held on by rivets? I was thinking to paint or vinyl wrapping it .

hi wayneg no rivets i managed to tuck it in on the sides then the pu sealer did the rest. at first, I was going to use some 20 mm plastick chrome strip or finishing strip i think they call it on the front edge. and left mine in place. i think i would go with the vinyl wrap make sure you use plenty of 3m promotor before you wrap it that will not be an easy job with the lines in the panel. i prefer this uprated bumper more than the 2010 upgrade new vehicle purchase

Having watched a few BadChad youtube vids on custom bumpers, I picked up 3 meters of 10mm chrome trim for A$4 and 10 minutes later it's in place. No doubt not as finished as your rolled stainless however it looks pretty good to me and I am happy with the look.
