From what I understand Dixy, semiconductor chips are manufactured predominantly in Taiwan....... The way things are going, we could be looking at a long old haul!

I have found a second hand Bentaga of almost perfect spec that I am considering, don't want to jump and get the 460 a month later but if it is going to be 6 or 12 months then worth a punt.
SWMBO may have a veto. letters not necessarily in the right order

I’m not sure it’s chips… I read in the financial papers in the spring a statement from JLR , they had a years supply of chips.

I think the supply chain for ‘bits ‘ is under pressure. If you haven’t got the knob for the steering wheel, then no steering wheel , and no car. Horse shoe , battles and wars.

Just a field of almost finished cars. If I’m right and it’s pure speculation, when the bit arrives , then a sudden rush of cars will be delivered.

The Ukrainian looms issue for petrol seem to be a specific bit, other bits may be on route , just delayed Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

Is the Ukrainian petrol issue not more linked to BMW and thus it slowing the manufacturing capability of P530 derivatives?

Had my monthly chase up call to my dealer. Sad
They still dont have their 530 demo.
Still in confirmed but October is probably too optimistic. Big Cry letters not necessarily in the right order

I have finally received the call that my car should be arriving at the dealership next week....D350 autobiography, carpathian, black pack, perlino, 1079 wheels. Originally place deposit June 2021. There doesn't seem to be any rhyme or reason as to when these are coming through as far as I can tell. very excited is the underlying feeling overlaid with some frustration

Great news for you, exciting time.

Mine was built 2 weeks ago today but no sign of it. Saw 15 transporter loads of new Range Rovers on the A34 yesterday going South, I'm wondering where mine is.

D350 AB in Lantau Bronze with black pack and 23" wheels. Ditched the safe colour option for a change and gone off piste Very Happy
Few bits like towbar and fridge and posh SV mats but that's about it, bit of a poverty spec Laughing

Mine should be at the dealership now but my salesman is on holiday. Will collect on 1 September.

your idea of poverty spec must be different from mine is all I can say. When I was shown my spec sheet I thought they had forgotten most of it (I'm used to Porsche option lists), but the calm response was "autobiography".

very nice sounding spec and looking forward to seeing pictures on arrival!

oh wow, they are dropping thick and fast. I have no idea how you have the patience for the reg change date unless the salesman is off for the whole of August..

They're arriving thick and fast alright - Currently there are 101 FFRR 2022MY available for sale on Autotrader, compared to just 77 last week!

Clearly there's not that many people out there willing to pay huge premiums anymore. With that in mind, I think we'll soon start to see these requested premiums begin to diminish, which has to be a good thing.

As for when the PHEV's are coming through, keep an eye on Autotrader, that will tell us all we need to know.

Alister… thick and fast as “bits” arrive
That’s why I’m PX ing my 405… I think a number of second hand cars will hit the market any moment. I’m not taking the risk of hanging on for two months selling the old one.

Handover of my 460 Monday Smile Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
