3.6 TDV8 Temperature Sensor/ Thermostat Issue

Hi All,

I have a 2007 3.6 TDV8 that has been having an issue for a little while. When I start the car, temperature (on the instrument cluster dial that is) rises as normal, is fine for about 10 mins, then drops to nothing for another 10-20 mins. Then generally comes back and stays normal. Is this likely to be a sensor, if so which one? Car is otherwise fine and drives fine.

Any help would be appreciated

Thanks
A

I had this once on a Leon. Exactly the same issue - one minute it was reading temperature fine, the next minute it was reading 0, the next it was back to normal again.

It was the coolant temperature sensor so, that would be my bet. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8
