make them an offer! if you are interested, and they like you, you are half way there. selling a car with a few free faults, is difficult, and you are there to help them out. look up online valuations, and decrease them, with the known faults. its a tough old world out there, you have an oportiunity to buy, drive, and maybe cut your losses and resell at similar money, and have the experience. these are fantastic cars. i had an old petrol model for 9 years, and it was at 200k, i then sold it, and bought the tdv8 4.4 i have now, with 200k on the clock. (bought at 197k.)
This one, unusual colour in white, with the design pack bumpers. car can be altered a little for different tastes, ie steps removed, different (bigger) wheels, and chrome accents deleted. opportunities like this at this mileage dont come up often, as these lower mileage cars are gobbled up, and marked up high, by dealers. put a new battery in it, get codes read/cleared, by an indy, and go from there.

Thats where I'm at. Had it out twice and it is a great drive. Its actually a family friend so am getting a pretty good deal as it is, even with a couple of faults.
As you say. Do the repairs and if s still not what i want i should at.least break even.

Think its decision made i just need that push over the edge haha

gary, this forum has helped me out of many a hole! it's full of a wealth of knowledge, experience, and good will. and very friendly too. tons of info to trawl, via the search button. there cant be anything thats not been discussed, and repaired on this model. remeber, its a permanent knowledge base, unlike rolling facebook groups, that fade away all the usefull info.
the 4.4 diesel is a serene drive, and has amazing fuel economy. the dash can 'register over 40mpg on a 65mph run, which is somewhere near to actual mpg. the comfort level is out of this world, and you'll find you look forward to long drives! it will become 'THAT' car, that you own, love, cherish, and is SOOO useful! youll wonder what car you could ever wish for to replace it.
i bought mine with a few 'on the way home' issues, DPF regen red warning, intermittant starter motor no start, coolant leak, suspension rattle. stored codes, and a few minor things. all sorted now, for very small outlay. -bit of a home mechanic myself. dont panic-pay for any issues you have. get to know your car, and any symptoms, and address each one, individually, before you start polishing it!

Non of these come without faults but at least with the 2 last years of production and the 4.4TDV8 + ZF 8speed non are catastrophic show stoppers. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

My buddy is one of the Local Range Rover fixers. Plugged it in tonight and it looks like an Abs sensor and a wee leak in the suspension system so taking him and you guys at your word. It CAN be fixed haha.
Im sure you will be hearing from me but once all the warning lights are off i think De Chrome will be high on the list.

My 22 year old is out hoovering it as we speak. Hoping to get on the insurance perhaps??

1st thing will be to get the back of the niggles then those exhaust tips. They are as rough as a badgers. Im thinking a rub down, fill and gloss black. Then more black bits.

Maybe a change of wheels but that will need to wait.
