I think that the short drives are the worse things for the 4.4? sitting will only mess up the tyres and maybe brake discs, a car that is about six years old should not give you too much trouble with rubber deteriorating.

It’s not sitting for months on end, so I can’t see any issues to be fair. Just keep the battery topped up.

Thanks Tinman. Yes, it's a lovely smooth ride especially compared to my other car which, relatively speaking, crashes around all over the place. And it looks so good on the driveway too! (haha!). L405 4.4 AB Loire Blue

Thanks! I'm looking to drive her up to Scotland over the summer so should get some nice miles in then. And yes in the meantime will be topping up the battery. L405 4.4 AB Loire Blue Tesla Model Y Audi A6 2012 (sold) BMW 5 series 3.0 petrol, champagne II edition (sold) |

My FFRR spends 90% of the time motionless parked on the street (which slopes down), sometimes for 2-3 weeks at a time. Short trips are in SWMBO’s JCW Mini and journey to the office (on the days I travel into London) are a combination of walking and train. But every two weeks or so, I do a journey of 2-300 miles in a day, for work or pleasure if I’m off to watch sport. Never had any issues at all, it starts on the button first time and everything works as it should. So, based on my experience, you should have no issues at all. |
