MP3 to USB

Good day FFRR

How do you up load MP3 files to a USB stick?
I have a 2012 4.4 TDV8 autobog, I have tried playing MP3 music thought my USB via a USB stick, But the car keeps saying corrupted.
Is there a correct way of uploading the files to the USB? The stick i am using is a exFAT 128mb.

Many thanks

Format as FAT or FAT32.

Make sure that there aren't any zero length files as the firmware doesn't check which then corrupts the playing sequencing.

Yeah, exFAT is ok on more modern cars, but a bit too modern for the L322….

Play from a usb stick is very slow to access tracks and search. Much better using your phone and Bovee 1000 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Looks like the same unit as the Bovee 1000 but can't tell if the internals are updated? Keep me updated if the connection is stable as mine disconnects when I get a phone call through the LR BT system and I have to physically disconnect and reconnect the unit to get it to pair again on my iphone. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

I've also got an Invery unit and have found it stays connected after calls.

The only 'issues' I've had are that it sometimes forgets which track was playing at the end of the previous journey (& reverts to the beginning of all tracks alphabetically), that's related somehow to how the phone is used between journeys I'm sure but haven't had a chance to experiment and narrow it down. I have also found, once only, that it refused to play anything at all, that was solved by restarting my phone.

Cheers

Richard - do you have an iphone or android? The Bovee stayed connected with my previous android but not the iphone. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Further to the above......

I had a call in the car earlier, whilst listening to music from my phone. When the call ended the music resumed very quickly and at the point it had been at before the call. 2010 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Santorini Black

Good afternoon all
Just an update. No real issues upto now, But yes it will revert back to the 1st song after you have switched the car off. Still if that's all that is going to go wrong, then happy days.
Oh the only other thing i have found out is to get the best out of the car sound is to turn all the sound affects off on the phone. The sound is very good, but then i do have the 1200w KH logic 7 HD.

The autoplay feature on the Iphone drives me Censored . I ended up making a 5min silent track and named it AAA so it at least I can't hear anything. I also don't like the fact that the autolock can't be disabled when it's connected to the car like it can with android. I have real buyers regret over my Iphone 13 pro and will be definitely going back to android and sooner than later. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)
