You can but only to 2019 maps IIRC.. and it cost many hundreds to have done, it's a hard drive system and the dealers are the only ones who can do it...

As above, it’s sort of a closed system, might even be 2014 the latest maps….. with the updates being done by a FireWire cable and specialist kit.

Plenty of room for the bits, you can download the instructions without buying it... They leave it up to you where you put the bits... Pete

I think the thing with the factory nav, irrespective of map updates, it to make sure you’ve selected the route you actually want to go. It’s rubbish at recalculating from where you are. I went up the M1 once and it doggedly tried to bring me off at every junction as I’d selected a slightly different route. My mistake admittedly, but it drove me mad. Not really used it since then…. “We don’t get on”🤣
