174k miles on my TDV8. No rattles, no squeaks, no leaks. In fact, other than some rust at the wheel arches (which they all get and will be sorted soon) and a sticky rear window actuator (I’ll just replace it to do the job properly), it’s in better nick than the pampered Cayenne it replaced that had 50k less miles on the clock. That had required new propshafts, blown the ABS sensors twice, lost an parking sensor, suffered three shattered rims, required new bushes twice in 40K miles, blown all the gas out of the aircon and required repairing and the back passenger door locks would randomly cease to work from the outside of the car. Rangies get a bad press, but with a bit of maintenance (as they are supposed to be something like a Purdy shotgun that is a lifetime ownership thing for the country set), they can go on being wonderful things for 100s of thousands of miles.

Previous owners of mine had done turbo hoses, subframe, bushes, brakes and some other issues in the last 30k miles and it’s as tight as a drum. This is the car I’ll pay to keep running until there are no more spares and it is just not physically possible to.

How about this then?!

Running a brace of high mileage Rangies at the moment. Both engines running strong and no leaks.

Looking at the mileage numbers others are running . I really must temper my desire for the new FFRR until the market normalises. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc
