Can’t Read TDV8 Engine Codes

Hi Folks, I’m new here used to own a Disco 3 but took the plunge and bought an 07 TDV8 Vogue SE.

She’s started to go in to limp mode and brings an engine fault on the dash.

Plugged in IID tool in and go the license sorted.

However I can’t read the codes from the engine controller. Can’t see the live values either.

I thought perhaps this could be maybe a controller from another car but then questioned myself well it would need to be coded to the car and it wouldn’t start etc. so something is a drift.

Tried searching for all controllers comes up with 30 ish controllers but doesn’t list them.

Try to find the controller to see the version and it’s not in the list. Weird hey.

Any way has anyone had a similar experience? I’m frustrated I’ve got the tools to do diagnostics but the controller is not there Big Cry

Is the battery fully charged?

These cars do some odd things if the battery isn't 100%

What about with engine running? Christian.

Yer I changed the battery yesterday for a good one. I’m going to have a play tonight with the digital battery charger plugged in. Just seems odd it can start but then you get no info back on the controller.
