International Shipping

Have found a very rare and highly discounted bonnet for the Porsche over in Arizona , naturally shipping is being quoted by the company at a higher rate than the item . Having zero knowledge and experience of such things, is there really a cost effective way of getting large items shipped? Space in a sea container etc?

Yes , before anyone asks , a completely frivolous item, but you know how it is .... Rolling with laughter

United Kingdom 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Zermatt Silver

Over the last couple of years couple of years container freight rates have jumped by four to five times the original.

Some outfits offer a door to door service with large items for international transfer, see link below for an example

https://www.packsend.co.uk/specialist-ship...-delivery/

They will quote for door to door international transfer, ( Via air or sea ) once the bonnet is paid for you could organise this.

I would E-mail the seller and ask them how they plan to do this, once boxed, this will be quite a large item, so the prices will not be cheap, whichever way it is shipped. Hope this helps.

You will also be liable for import Vat & Duty costs to our old friend HMG.

Its based on the value of the invoice they need to provide to ship.

Just a consideration for you.

Cheers.

Dave

United Kingdom 2012 Range Rover Autobiography TDV8 Baltic Blue

Shipping from the US to the UK seems to have become very expensive at the moment.

I wanted to move a camshaft (packaged size was 18" x 6" x 6" at most and weighs a couple of kg) and the seller was quoting $200 for shipping.

When I went to Fedex and UPS, they were both coming in at nearer $250! I was expecting somewhere around $50!

My $411 camshaft became $611, then there was duties and VAT on it when it landed in the UK. Would have been as cheap to have one manufactured bespoke for that! 2002 4.6 Vogue SE - Alveston Red with Lightstone Leather
