United Kingdom 2003 Range Rover Vogue 4.4 V8 Epsom Green

So while waiting to get the various issues fixed (The local land rover specialists seem to always be booked up, I wonder why Laughing ), I decided to work on something else.

One of the reasons I bought this RR was that it'd be far more comfortable than my pickup for shoot days. I love the idea of having a shotgun and drinks cabinet in the boot.

After some online research, I came to the conclusion that I had no choice but to make my own (This one cost more than the car itself!!).

So after measuring up the boot space of my RR, and a short browse on FB marketplace again - I found this old chest of drawers going cheap because the bottom half was starting to rot / had gone soft. Perfect!

The top half was in reasonable condition, and fit perfectly. So a quick attack with the saw and bingo. All I need now is some foam inserts to hold shotgun(s) in place, and even a drawer for bottles of booze, and another drawer for glasses. Upcycling done correctly! Laughing

Looking through your thread, Kyrantaylor, I swear I heard a sigh of relief from your L322 when you removed the bling. It’s so good to see another 2002 - 2005 L322 looking as it did when it left the production line and now being looked after.

Good luck with the “Air susp inactive”. Hopefully just a height sensor. I had a similar issue on mine for ages and in the end bit the bullet and had 4 genuine LR height sensors fitted. Touching wood, it’s been six months with no return of the issue. 2004 L322 4.4 V8 Vogue Bonatti Grey

Still another week before the RR takes it's trip to the garage to hopefully become driveable again.

In the meantime, I have completed my DIY shotgun/drinks cabinet.

Not being conversant in anything shooting or shooting related, presumably the critical thing is to remember to use the drawers in the right order???? 2004 L322 4.4 V8 Vogue Bonatti Grey

Update!

I've finally got the RR back from the garage - end result was nowhere near as bad as I thought.

Air suspension issue was fixed just by plugging in to their computer and resetting - works like a dream now.
Needed new discs and pads on the rear, and there was an electrical issue with the handbrake.

Car drives like an absolute dream now.

Lovely kyrantaylor, soo much better with the proper grill, wheels and accoutrements, lovely looking car. Also what you’ve done with saving and repurposing the chest is fab, your next shoot is going to be a special one! Current - 2010 Range Rover 4.4TDV8 Vogue SE Auto

Long overdue update. Lots has happened. Apologies in advance for the photo spam!

So since the last post, I have been very fortunate to be able to move into my dream property- where my FFRR has come in very handy! It has been faultless these past few weeks helping move.

Spotted this new FFRR at Bramham the other week.

RR is currently wonky again, after forgetting to plug in - so will need another trip to the garage to reset the system again. Heavily considering investing in the fault resetting tool myself. Any suggestions?

Finally got my trickle charger set up properly at the new house. So decided to take the Range Rover to get fixed.
Took it to the garage, plugged in and reset the computer - now the suspension is no longer wonky, and goes up and down as it should!

Still trying to get to the bottom of the battery drain. But just going to keep it on charge most days.
