2018 Range Rover SVAutobiography 5.0 SC V8 Santorini Black
P530 First Edition - Delivered

I took delivery of my P530 First Edition today. What a beautiful car and light years ahead of the L405 SVA I had before. The ride is silky smooth, quiet and just effortless. For me, it drives even nicer than a Bentayga or a Cullinan.

Will share some pics ASAP but if anybody has any specific questions, let me know and I’ll do my best to answer.

Unnecessary quote removed

Enjoy in good health - it’s great to see an enthusiast getting their car rather than a second hand car dealer 😂😂

Lots of pictures please 🙏

Glad to hear of a 530 First edition being delivered. Good sign for a 530 customer spec being in the next wave. Verry excited by how good you say the car is. letters not necessarily in the right order

Good to see deliveries happening from your end and you are overall impressed. I have never seen the L460 in the flesh as we have no deliveries down under. Do you have 22” or 23” wheels?
I have at present the 2019 L405 SDV8 Autobiography and have on order the L460 P530 Autobiography SWB.
When you get a chance I would like to know when the 2nd row of seats are folded down will the drivers seat fully adjust back? In the L405 autobiography if I have the 2nd row of seats folded down I cannot move the drivers seat back far enough to drive comfortably. ( I’m 6ft tall)
The headrests on the second row cannot be removed.
Thanks MJG

The ride on the 23s (I had 22s on my L405 SVA) is far superior to what I expected. It’s silky smooth and the depths of the tyres surprised me (the arches make the wheels look small!!).

The rear seats are essentially the same idea (but enhanced) as the executive seating from the L405 LCI.

Thanks for the reply, I have also ordered the 23”
I understand the L460 is 52mm longer in the wheel base, I was hoping that the 52mm would allow the drivers seat to move back the additional 52mm in the L460, when I measured the L405 with back seats down the drivers seat was 75mm forward.

For this reason I had changed my order to the LWB but changed back to SWB as the LWB would prove to be long around town i.e. car parks etc. I guess this is why I’m concerned about the actual position of the drivers seat. Is the back row head rest at tall as the L405 AB
Thanks

She’s in Santorini Black. Interestingly the full model is now on the VIN plate to put people off from misbadging!!

It’s a SWB and the engine is simply sublime.

I thought the noise cancellation would be gimmicky but it creates a really serene cabin. I don’t miss the 5.0 SC at all (thought I would) and on the 300 mile journey I did at the weekend, I averaged a smidge over 25mpg. The power delivery is just so much smoother.

I must say that quality wise, I’m not entirely sold on some of the finish and plastics. Perhaps the Perlino interior is particularly unforgiving but some of the Perlino-coloured plastic is quite ‘scratchy’ and not befitting of the price tag.

Look lush Mr Ab... Sat in an identical one today in Swindon LR whilst dropping mine in for some bits... I have to say, I was very impressed, but totally agree with some of the plastics Thumbs Up

To be fair, for a standard wheelbase, it looks very well proportioned, maybe the LWB is not necessary after all.

"Autobiography", you make reference to some of the plastics being a bit "scratchy", which parts in particular are you referring to?

And do you know if any of these parts are improved with a leather covered finish in the SV model?

Very nice Autobiography.

Same interior spec as my order.

How does the engine sound compare to the 5.0SC?
