If he suspects the fuel pump then has he pressure tested it? Waiting for you to break down again in the hope for more computer codes is not good enough. 2004 black Vogue TD6

2006 Range Rover Autobiography Supercharged Zambezi Silver

Hi Ludzy

I just found this on Topix, its TSB No.LM303-005/2006
- hope it helps:

Subject/Concern: Range Rover (LM) - Reduced Engine Performance DTC P0483
Model:
Range Rover (LM) - AJV8 gasoline engine only Year: 2006 Onwards
VIN Range: 6A198058-6A227771
Markets: All
Section: 303-14
Summary

A customer may report a concern that the engine is running at reduced power with the message 'Reduced Engine Performance' displayed. The engine warning lamp may also be illuminated.

Investigation using the worldwide diagnostic system (WDS) reveals diagnostic trouble code (DTCs) P0483 (engine fan performance).

Cause: A software calibration sensitivity issue between the actual engine speed and the cooling fan speed may result in the above logged DTCs.

Action: Should a customer express concern regarding the above, refer to the Service Procedure detailed in this bulletin to update the engine control module software.

Well when they took it for a test drive to sturgess leicester? The pressure figures that sturgess gave em as a guide indicated low pressure. But I do agree waiting for me to break down again aint the best but as I wasn't charged anything I couldn't actually complain about it. I will definatley consider getting the fuel pump changed anyway if covered by my warranty. Not had a chance to go out for along drive yet so no errors yet. I did tell em to go out and "thrash" it to get the codes up but they declined my offer so can't actually so em when it happens! I'll go out tomorrow and see if I can get the errors back up. Ex FFRR 4.2 Supercharged

Well took her out for a spin this morning. Maintained a steady 70/80 for 5 miles. Then come back the opposite way giving it everything. The car was fine never missed a beat. As soon as I got off the main road the msg came back. Still no MIL light tho. Checked codes when I got home and just the 1 came up. P2601 Pending. Cooling pump error as before, no mention of fuel pump. So I've convinced thats the issue and also the cooling pump may be wired the opposite way round as explained in a Land Rover SC bulletin. Think I'll check to see if it has been crossed wired if it has it's gotta be the problem???
