Yes, all of my FFRRs have had larger rear number plates. Now that it's been mentioned, it is a heck of a lot of yellow at the back of the car - especially in the FFRR on Collecting Cars.

What is the reason for it? I remember the Rover 75 always had a larger rear number plate that matched the space on the boot. Presume it's for a similar historical reason and they've just stuck with it. 2024 Range Rover P550e AB

Yes. I think it's always been like that going back to the classic RR. I have never liked all the yellow, especially as all my RRs have been dark colours. I have ended up always changing the plate to the smaller standard size.

I saw a green one on the road yesterday in full sun. I was behind and passed it. I’m afraid the colour looked very flat and uninspiring to me. MY23 D350 HSE

Just been to the dealer to collect parts for my L322 and they had this Belgravia Green L460 in the sun.

Agreed on the pictures; thank you dhallworth for sharing. Such a curious color. I love it in some pictures and am thoroughly underwhelmed in others. I have about a week until my last amendment date, and at this point, I think I'm sticking with BRG. Would love to see an L460 in BRG before then, but I'm not holding my breath.

I must admit I really wasn’t keen on the L460 having seen pictures of it but it’s better in the flesh.

Darker cars suit the rear lights better IMO but I still don’t like the steering wheel I’m afraid

What's the general consensus on the British Racing Green Metallic?

If it were a no cost option, would anyone take it over the Belgravia?

I've seen a few pictures, although I'm not sure if some are BRG Chromaflair (which I personally think is awful).

Is British Racing Green Metallic the same as the old standard "British Racing Green", just with a slightly different name?

Long time ago I had a Rover 75 BRG (which I loved) and as far as I remember, that green was different from the one available for the L460. I find this one too flashy…

I have not seen Belgravia in person but from all the images and the colour swatch I have seen at the dealer, it just looks like another shade of grey with a slight green tint in bright light. If I were going to have grey I think Charente is a nicer colour.

I would definitely have BRG over Belgravia ( and it is my current spec). The problem is that BRG is very dark unless it is in the sun and then green flake shows up and it looks really nice. As I have said before, I don't think L460 looks at its best in the very dark colours but there is not much with the lighter ones that appeal to me.

There are a few BRG MY 18+ L405s on Autotrader which are a good reflection of the colour rather than the Romans one which was posted earlier in the thread (or another thread). I think this one must have been the Spectral BRG which is much brighter.

I had a day off in the week so drove around a few dealers to see if I could find any L460s in interesting colours.

The answer, sadly, was no. Plenty of Charente Grey but not a Belgravia Green to be found. So thanks a lot dhallworth for your photos 👍

I did see a British Racing Green Jaguar and I have to say it looked splendid. TexasOurTexas I think sticking to British Racing Green makes sense because you have a pretty good idea what that colour looks like, and it is a classic that works on so many types of cars. Feels safer than going for a colour you have not seen before.

aja500 excellent question as to whether we would pick BRG over Belgravia Green if it was standard. Without seeing Belgravia Green it is hard to say. But I think the answer is yes.

As to which BRG it is no, it is not the BRG Chromaflair - not my cup of green tea either. The sample of BRG I have seen matched the Jag (JLR seem to share colours) and is how you would expect BRG to look. A rich deep green.

The reception staff were excellent - very helpful to me even though they knew I had ordered a car elsewhere. My local dealership would fit in their reception!

While I was there this Charente Grey LWB drove past me and parked up. I have to say it looked beautiful - very regal and sophisticated. Looked especially good from the rear three quarters. The white one wasn't my cup of tea; no offence if you love it - beauty in the eye of the beholder and all that!

The Charente grey is definitely one of the best and I think it will be the most popular colour.

The South West London site is my local. I might pop down there today and see if there is anything interesting. Did they have one in the showroom?
