Try asking Tim Fry Landrover if they would be willing to forwards a letter to the current owner, without giving you any details, as in other plan, then it is up to the owner to contact you.
Show proof that you were the previous owner, they may be more amenable than the DVLA.

At least they will understand the desire to purchase the car and may help, even if they wanted to charge a small fee for paperwork / their time. Worth a go. Just stress that you are not after the owners details, but wish to establish contact.

I did reach out to them a while back and heard nothing so took it as a no. But good plan, I will try them again. As you say, they will at least understand better. Cannot harm to send them a second email.

You can type the ref into the normal Facebook search. If public photos of it have been posted then they will show up in the results.

I have been offered what I am confident is your old Range Rover, but as you, I don’t want to post the registration number on here. I can confirm that it does have the GB badge and an aftermarket towbar fitted, and the last letter of the registration is G.

Clearly from reading your posts on the forum, it would be ideal if I could help with you being re united with the car.

Hi Adrian, that does sound like it. Oddly I saw it in a newspaper photo with a GB sticker in Wales so that all sounds right. It looked like the dealer fit lamp guards had been removed. I will see if I can pm you to start a thread. Hopefully we can touch base, that is the correct letter for the plate. I am not sure if you have had sight of the V5c at this stage but it will show previous keeper as Benjamin Felsham. I will PM you now and hopefully the system will let me do that.
