To Lock or not to Lock, while charging ~ L405

Hi all

Had a look for info on this particular subject, but no luck yet?

As I’ve just got myself a Battery Conditioner, and happy to connect onto the Under bonnet Stubs…the question I have is, when I’ve connected, am I best to close the bonnet and then lock the car, of leave it with the bonnet lowered onto the first catch, and unlocked?

If I lock….This would then allow the Car to shut itself down?
The car is kept in a locked garage, but I would obviously prefer to lock if I can.

Thanks in advance. Range Rover 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

If its in your garage and i presume its secure? Why bother locking it?
