Cooled seats

Morning all,

I have decided to take the plunge and buy a late model L322.
.Looking at the different specs I am wondering about cooled seats? I am wondering if they are worth having? Also, are the non cooled more comfortable? I am thinking the cooled must have ducting or similar.
The Vogue spec is usually quite a lot cheaper. The other extras you get with SE and Autobiography I am not bothered about. I would quite like the better sound but I am not bothered about adaptive cruise or homelink.
Any opinions on the different specs would be welcome
Thanks

Cooled seats are another pointless gimmick right up until you use them on a hot day then you wonder how you ever managed without them

Personally, I think the cooled seats are a good option, they stop you getting a sticky back and a*se in the hot weather. Heated steering wheel is a nice feature too in my opinion.
Standard Vogue spec has firmer seats, SE and AB spec have semi aniline leather, which is more comfortable.
Adaptive Headlights are useful too.

Thanks. I did not know there is a difference in leather with higher spec. models. Seat comfort is very important to me. It is one of my bugbears about modern design that all seats now are like BMW ie firm and sporty. Most comfortable seats I’ve had were in my 2006 Jag S Type.
So, cooling does not make the seats more uncomfortable?

Only downside to cooled seats is that the heated function takes slightly longer to start than with “heating only” seats.

the seats in my AB are brilliant. First day I got it, I was driving for 6 hours and felt fresh as a daisy after. Excellent compared to my '17 Sport which had pretty average seats for my shape

The Vogue SE and Autobiography cars have semi aniline leather. The Vogue doesn’t.

Vogue seats are reported to wear better over the years though… as a general statement.

Seats that are heated only use a heating element. Cooled seats have a piezo element for both heating and cooling, like you might find in a posh cool box, hence why heating up takes a bit longer.

2011 spec, options and price list are in the Wiki… top right…

The brochures are there too, but are the US versions, but still useful…

Yes, thanks, I saw the Wiki but the Westminster isn’t in there. I think they are an SE but no adaptive cruise or homelink but have the better audio. That would suit me nicely as I had adaptive cruise before in a Jag and on motorways cars nipped in front causing a harsh slowdown every few seconds!
