Apologies, I should have added this question to my earlier one.

I know all about the benefits of a megaflush, but this time I intend to just drain and refill the gearbox on my SDV8. My train of thought being that has to be better than not doing so, if not as thorough as a megaflush.

Any idea how many litres of oil I’m likely to need?

When I did mine, exactly 3 litres dropped every time.

I ended up draining and refilling the gearbox 4 times.

Fresh oil is shown at the top. First drain is on the left and fourth drain is on the right. Obviously the oil in the gearbox after the fourth fill was a shade lighter than the one shown on the right.

No problem LT. I used Mannol AG60 by the way. I always buy my ATF in 20 litre mini barrels from Germany (https://www.motor-oel-guenstig.de/) I paid about £72 including delivery to the UK at the time. Unfortunately, since Brexit I don't think they are shipping to the UK any longer  Kev
