If you have the small fob then you will have a fuel burning heater (FBH) installed. Search FBH on here and you'll see loads of stuff about it.

If you don’t have the FBH (which I don’t think you do), then you can pre cool or heat the car via the app. But all it does is remote start the engine, set the temperature to what you’ve chosen in the app and leave the doors locked.

Thanks Martin - My standard spec for the car shows it as having "Cabin pre-conditioning with remote control" is that not the same as FBH.

Ah, I assumed from your profile details that you had an L322. My L405 will cool but needs to be done through the climate section of the incontrol app as it needs to run the engine. The small fob I have fires up the FBH without needing an engine start. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography (2021-2024) - Santorini Black 2012 4.4 TDV8 Westminster (2016-2021) - Santorini Black |

With the FBH you'll notice some slight smoking from under the bonnet but don't be alarmed that's normal
