Another fuel burning heater problem.

I have had my car approx 6 yrs now and the fbh has worked perfectly all the time, but now it wont work useing the t90 remote,i have replaced the batteries but when i press and hold the on button to activate the heater all i get is rapid flickering of the green light for a few seconds and no heater. It works fine via the screen on the dash so the heater def works ok,ive disconnected the car battery and touched the neg and pos leads together to do a hard reset and even after that the fbh still won't operate from the remote. Anyone had a similar problem before? Not sure if it is the remote at fault or the module in the the boot, is there anyway of checking where the fault may lie? I dont want to just replace things that might not need replacing. Thanks in advance . 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver

Have you tried re-pairing the remote to the FBH module, might need to be re-paired if the old batteries had gone totally flat. If that doesn't work, try putting new batteries in the Fob and re-pairing again. You could have got a dodgy 'new' battery.

I hadn't thought the new batteries could be flat, I'll get some new ones and see how it goes, how do i pair the remote if I need to?
Thanks. 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver

There's a 'how to' in the WIKI page

Before you do that, try this method of pairing the remote, by removing the power lead from the FBH module in the rear compartment. See link below:

Thanks for that, just tried that and no change alas, I've got my eye on a remote on eBay, if I get that I'll try that and see what's what, if that doesn't work then might get another receiver and give that a go . 2009 Vogue SE Zermatt silver
