My thoughts too tbh, I will be happy with March 1st 2023 collection. In all the LRs I have purchased over the years never had to lock spec down until a few weeks before build. Guess they might be wanting more time to organise supply chain logistics but not a year. |

I think it's just the dealer RDR..... As you rightly say, a few weeks prior to build is the norm, unless you're going for a non-standard colour.

I signed up for mine mid February, I think it will come down to supply chain logistics and chosen spec. I follow the defender forum and the experience there indicates no fathomable rhythm or reason to when cars are built. People have been waiting best part of a year then others get theirs in a few months. |

Just a thought…. There may be some new buildings slots available as JLR have suspended shipments to Russia. Filters are in fact so good that in certain circumstances, when the ambient air is already polluted, a diesel car will tend to extract more particles from the air than it emits. Emissions Analytics worked with........etc etc

We deposited a PHEV in Oct’ - then went to dealer launch in early Jan and provisionally spec’d the car and left the order with the salesman.

Do you think that the russian / ukrainian war effects delivery time? Ford and BMW are already slowing down their production since they do not get specific cables produced in ukraina.. |

I think the Russia comments were due to LR not selling any products into Russia therefore potentially freeing up some slots for other countries. in 2021 6,900 vehicles were sold to Russia but that was across the whole range but also during a time when chip shortages were really slowing availability of vehicles. 2021 P400 Silicon Silver AB

My dealer was allocated its first customer spec build slots this week - they’re due for delivery in May |

My dealer said that some customer spec SEs had been slotted but no ABs had yet. FWIW

Spoke to my dealer again yesterday as I realised I had forgot the spare wheel option. He said some customers with standard lower spec orders were getting slotted with tentative delivery May/June. I know they were struggling with items such as HUD and Tow packs on other models I expect the same modules are used on the Range Rover. Definitely think it will come down to exact spec chosen over order date. |
