285/45/R22 on Turbines

Does anybody have any experience fitting the above on a L405?

I already have 30mm spacers but current tires are wearing out and i have a few km trip across Germany coming up so thinking to fit Pirelli Scorpion Zero All Season NCS Noise Control System - 285/45 R22 114Y XL (LR) SI RP TL

Anybody know if they will fit? and issues?

How she sits, prior to changing the side vents / silver side strips for satin black.

They'll be way too big and your speedo will under read by about 5%.

22's on an L405 generally came with 275/40 tyres. Here's a comparison......

Can't think why you'd have 30mm spacers on either Rolling Eyes 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

I will go with 285/40/r22 then

And spacers because even with 22" turbines, the wheels look lost on the car... they are properly torqued, insurance informed whats the big deal?

No big deal, personal choice. I just don't think spacers are needed. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography

No worries, i was just expecting the big argument they are worse than Putin, etc...

On the defender forums for years it's been debated, and personally i have no issue with them, i re-checked them after 200 miles and all okay.

This is how my arches normally look on my other LR

Just changing the subject slightly, I’m looking at changing the roof rack on my defender for one like yours, does it fit in a multi-storey car park? I can’t often get mine I with the G4 rack and Hella spots.

Cheers

Hi Jules,

to tell you the truth i've never tried...

It's a hannibal rack i just left the side gutters off as preferred the look and easier to load things from all angles.

what i did like is how low profile they are hence going for one. absolutely solid rack and i'd say one of the best ever made... no wind noise, rock solid construction and looks super cool.

Mines also on different springs and fox remote res dampers so... i think the 285/65/r18 is comparable to the standard fit from LR in height.
