Squeaks.. what would you do?

Hey guys.. I am so close to getting my 4.2 SC driving.

I'm just about to fix an oil cooler connection leak.. then technically I can drive it.

But.. there is some awful squealing from the engine. I'm not sure if it's a chirp or a squeal.. which I believe is significant on these engines, as there was a TSB for "chirp" related sounds lol. Anyway, this one is on 162k miles, so I guess that would have been addressed?

Also... while I was in under the car, with tray off I had decent access to the belt/pulleys.. I unloaded a pretty hefty amount of belt dressing on there, and the sounds went away. Perfect, I thought. Stopped engine for a few minutes, and when I restarted the sound was back..

So, what would you do? Time to just bite the bullet and replaces belts? I guess my main concern is that I replace the belts and it turns out to be a pulley. Considering it's (allegedly) a pig of a job, do I just do pulleys also, while in there?

FYI - It sounds like this video..

Great tip in that video to spray with water to see if it's the belt and need to do that with mine. Anytime a job involves replacing a hard to get to part that requires time consuming removal of parts to get at I'd replace not only the parts that have failed but also ( within reason) parts that are likley to fail. Def replace pulleys and not just the belt. 2012 TDV8 Vogue (L322)

Ahh thought I replied to this.

It seems the squeaks go away after a while..

So I am going to drive this and fix them in a little while.

Thank you. (07) 2007 3.6 TDV8 L322 - 135k miles.
