Need to get a set of pads etc for the Westie and thought i'd try these based on recommendations but they aren't listed on either the Advanced or ECP websites! They don't seem to have greenstuff on the EBC site for full fat's either.

Where are they currently available or are they not being made for the L322 anymore?

Cheers

I used yellow stuff on the front of my 2011 4.4tdv8 on the recommendation of an EBC distributor, the old yellow stuff pads needed to be warmed up previously but the new compound gives instant bite from cold and then only gets better as they get hotter. I had green stuff in the back and I changed to the EBC discs all round, not cheap but made a big difference Thumbs Up 2015 4.4 AB

Rob,

As mentioned, I bought fronts and rears from two different sellers:
Front - Advanced Factors; and

Rear, described as "EBC Greenstuff Rear Brake Pads Land Rover Range Rover L405 3.0 TD 258HP 2012 on". Bought from
Larkspeed Limited... their eBay shop name is
larkspeedperformancecentre

Address:
6, Back Austhorpe Road
Crossgates
LS15 8NW
Leeds
West Yorkshire
UK
Phone: 01132|643231
Email: sales@larkspeed.com

Both AF and Larkspeed were helpful and accurate when helping with selection of the correct pads

Thumbs Up

I bought my front Reds through Ebay, but our suppliers only list Yellow and Greens, so has Greens in the back Thumbs Up

Further March 2020 update on these pads:

MD was doing a health check on the car a couple of days ago and reported the 4 pads are all good... 8mm still left on the front pads. Excellent Thumbs Up

I run Red stuff on the front and Yellow stuff on the rear of my L405 4.4SDV8 (Brembo brakes), brake dust is minimal with both, and braking performance is fabulous. I have been using EBC for 10 years on all road applications from High performance Audi to the range rovers, and I have never had any issues with them at all.

Never tried green stuff before

I've had Greenstuff pads all round for 9 months on OEM discs and found them to be better for both performance and dust. When you read the blurb they blame the dust on the metal from the discs which is increased by having the asbestos replaced by metal fragments in the pads. The two together create the dust and not the pad itself. EBC use soft metals like alloys to reduce the wear to the discs which in turn reduces the dust. My wheels were black within a week on OEM but stay cleanish for weeks with the EBC replacements. They stay even cleaner when I don't use it!

Car was serviced yesterday and the Tech advised that the rear pads are still going strong whereas the fronts are getting near to the wear indicator. That’s 3.5 years out of a set of genuine front LR discs and EBC pads. So I’m ordering the same again, EBC greenstuff 6000 have been excellent 👍

Struggling to get EBC greenstuff pads again without a long wait so have been offered a pack that comprises EBC front discs (TRW calliper compatible) and EBC yellowstuff pads. The greenstuff pads have been excellent and reviews on this forum seem to also rate the yellowstuff pads. So £300 all in and delivered for the EBC front discs and yellowstuff pads seems like a good deal to me?

Ps… can you re-use the existing brake sensor if it’s in tact?

Planning to use NMJs “how to” change front discs and pads as my guiding light/ reminder Laughing Thumbs Up

I just picked up a set of EBC greenstuff pads from https://maltings4x4store.co.uk

Mine were for the Brembo callipers but I expect they'll have the TRW versions too. 2021 D350 Fifty Edition - Carpathian Grey

There does seem to be a shortage of the greenstuff front pads for the L405 TDv6. None of the places I’ve checked currently have them in stock and waiting time indicates April 2022. My experience of these pads over 3 years is they are excellent and well worth the wait for those who can.

If anyone is looking for them for their TDv6, forget trying to compare so called LRO numbers, they all seem to change depending on who is advertising pads for sale. You need the EBC part number because our 3.0 TD has TRW front callipers and not Brembo. The EBC part number for the ones I’ve tried and tested is DP62123 (but just double check with your chosen supplier to be sure they’re right for your car).

Full details are:

BHP 258
Year From 2012
Year To 2022
Caliper TRW

EBC Extra-Duty Greenstuff-6000 Brake Pads DP62123 “

Just ordered another set of front EBC greenstuff pads for the TDv6. They were hard to come by for our model L405 on this occasion. Historically ordered them from AF but they don’t sell them now. Paid £87 to AF for them a few years ago.

The order just placed for them with Bearmach included a 10% introductory order discount and delivery - £56.

Keep thinking that at £30 less than what was paid previously, must have ordered the wrong ones but the part number on the historical AF invoice is the same as the part number quoted by the helpful Bearmach rep’, the number being BA 2220A.

Anyway, if they are indeed the same pads I’ve already got on the L405, they are brilliant performing pads in all circumstances we’ve used the car for and they’ve never had brake squeal. They are durable too and are only now being replaced after 3.5 years and 30,000 miles due to what I think is an over cautious advisory from a main dealer Tech. Anyway, for £56, you can’t go wrong. 👍
