Pirelli All season tyre question | |
I have Pirelli 22" all season verde tyres, and a complete alloy spare with a new 22" Verde all season tyre.
I was always going to change these when they were close to the legal limit, too Pirelli all season Zero's. Mainly because they were a newer alternative and mpg rating is A rather than C and less noise than a Verde.
I Recently had a slow puncture which could not be repaired, (thats another storey lol) and I asked the garage to order and fit a Pirelli all season Verde replacement. The new spare all season Verde was fitted to the front right.
I have just picked up the wheel late afternoon, and noticed when I got home its a Pirelli All Season Zero!
To me they look identical
I was going to fit this to the front left, so then having 2 new tyres on the front axel.
Garage are happy to replace it with a Verde if required, but insisted as its a approved LR tyre (it has LR stamp) and its the same mfg, same size, same speed and load rating, it can be fitted on the same axel as a Verde and you wont notice any difference.
So various questions I have.
1 I have a MOT next week so certainly dont want to tempt fate and install this tyre just in case its not allowed etc guess it will be OK in the tyre well for the MOT?
2 I can keep it (new Zero) as a spare, and if I get another puncture or tyre becomes worn on another Verde, I can buy a second Pirelli All season Zero then able to fit each on 1 axel and so on.
3 Or Garage is correct and I can fit to front left and I wont notice any difference and its all legal?
