Rear wheel arch edge protectors

Hi chaps, looking for a bit of advise. I’m looking to replace the tired and deformed rubber edge protectors of my rear wheel arches. I’ve found what I think is the correct part on the technical drawing, named seal. But having looked through loads of posts about rear arches etc, I’m under the impression that they never came with any arch protectors/seals? Just wondering if anyone knows if the part I’ve highlighted is the actually part I’m looking to replace? If not, where can I get those seals.

Thanks

You won’t find them as a part for the L322 as they were never fitted from the factory.

I fitted LR ones to my TD6 and my current car. I went to the dealer and he came out with different lengths, and I chose what I wanted. I did 4 bits as I wanted to cover all of it.

A few years after, they started to rust themselves and go like yours have started to. This is because there is a metal strip in them.

I pulled them off and replaced with plastic door edge protector…. But it’s not quite wide enough for my liking.

I did a post with the LR strips on.

Let me have a search…

I made my own one piece ones from some rubber I got from Amazon.
They meet the door when it is shut and are nice and smooth.

Hi Greg, I just used some screwfix super glue.
Google search, 'TMH large u section rubber seal 21mmx8mm'.
£3.15 a metre X 2.
Cheers Kev.

I think I have 4 of the free lander ones in the garage and as I have sold the car I have no use for them.

Free to anybody that can use them.

The stuff Kevinp posted looks good, I will get some. Have you seen the below video, not sure about the use a vaseline but I bought the freelander strips to use. Now thinking I'll just got for the 8x21 channel

Best,

Tom
