3.6 TDV8 EGR thermostat

Is anyone able to tell me the location of the EGR thermostat on the 3.6 TDV8 please?
Pictures would be even nicer - I don't seem able to find any on here for this version of the v8

Thanks - Ian

I did a previous EGR rebuild article for the 3.6

The thermostats are in the inlet to each EGR. You will need to drain the system. To get to them is a big job.

You need to remove the manifold and injector cables. This means removing the Heatshields on the engine also. The EGRs bolt onto each bank but don't need removing. The hoses can be a pain in the backside to remove the clips on and refit, even with a hose clip tool. Have vaseline and a swear box ready.

You may also find it easier to unbolt the fuel rails. Budget 3 hours each way. 2015 Range Rover Autobiography 4.4 SDV8

Great thanks, I'm most of the way to changing the EGR control valves.
Just taken the upper manifold off and exposed the EGRs.
I think it's Edfors guide, with lots of pictures that I'm following - and actually quite enjoying it.
Makes a nice change from all the grinding / welding.
