Secure tracker vs secure tracker pro

Hi,

Does anyone know if secure tracker pro is standard on l405s?

Secure tracker pro seems to be cat 5 whereas secure tracker is cat 6 /7

I’ve just purchased a 2019 autobiography and can’t seem to find out

MY18 certificate is Cat 6

Log in here and select tracker tab and see your certificate

You are correct, the certificate shows it’s as a cat 6

Has anyone any direct proof or confirmation that cat 6 is definitely now S7

Insurance has requested a min of s7, but Land Rover tracker shows as cat 6

Given cat6 was disconnected in 2019 why do Land Rover still declare it as cat6?

Thanks

Proof in link

https://www.trackershop-uk.com/blog/whats-...6-trackers

WHAT IS A CAT 6 CAR TRACKER?
The CAT 6 tracker has now officially been renamed the S7 tracker. The S7 category provides exactly the same features, coverage, and level of service as the CAT6 tracker, however, some insurance providers may still have the CAT 6 listed on their recommended products.
You can reference both CAT 6 and S7 whenever referring to this category, and anyone issued with a CAT6 completion certificate will still be valid indefinitely. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

Thanks,

I am just a little paranoid given my previous RRS went missing in the night.

So in summary you think I would have a strong argument with the insurance company if they refused to pay out because the tracker certificate says cat 6 rather than s7?

Just a little concerned there is nothing on the official thatcham website, and why does the LR cert still say cat6 - its bloody annoying!

Its the same.
Your certificate was produced when Cat 6 was the correct designation for your vehicle at the time it was registered.
They (JLR) dont change the certificate because the format was changed after your registration date.

Insurance companies should know this as it effects hundreds of thousands of vehicles. 2018 SE SDV8 4.4 Byron Blue

If you need certainty and peace of mind send the certificate to your insurers and get them to confirm in writing it's acceptable as compliant for your policy. 2017 4.4 SDV8 Autobiography
