Absolutely fantastic tow car. The combination of the trailer and defender was I suspect more that 3500 kg's,and the car was always very fill as well.

Just make sure the trailer brakes are serviced and work properly. I wouldn't like to think about stopping with faulty trailer brakes!

That must have been one hell of a trailer!
(or your guess is way out)

My challenge spec 90 with 500kg of extra winches, cage, 35 inch tyres and portal axles still came to a total weight of 3050kg on my twin axle trailer with the Land Rover.
A standard 90 is only about 1750kg. A typical twin axle trailer for transporting 4x4s is about 750kg-850kg.

Nose weight with the (heavier than 110) 90 in the correct place was 210kg.

Belgium 2006 Range Rover Vogue Td6 Bonatti Grey

Regularly tow horsebox with 2 x 600kg Belgian warmbloods on-board with no effort, well below 3500kgs limit.
FPC boat [RIB], just below 3500kgs, again no problems.
Most i have had hanging off the back was just under 7T [lead keel and casing] for a short journey, no apparent problems - did start to hunt the gears in auto - going manual sorted that.
All trailers are twin-axle braked.
